Laka Falealea 2006
So June 1st was the official opening of Parliament Session for 2006 and as per regular, the kids were all out and so were the handsome, beautiful tutors.

We had to wait for the last platoon to see our dear Mrs Tamalisi Koloti Latapu, but she was all smiles as is usual for our girls.I tried real hard to see if I could spot Mrs Seini Foliaki I'm waiting to have a baby Manu, but unfortunately the may have wheel-chaired her away before I got on the scene.

Of course we cannot forget our beautiful girls of Queen Salote College and their marching orders. This year seems to be a departure from the long route of yesteryear, and O4 here seems to remember some different things from what's on today's menu.
The girls found the fastest way home and ran for it. No more routing through downtown to scamper back home past ako-nofoma'u. We though the band had more songs to play then last years, and at least they have a band to play. We had to do with the smiling and the Lef"T" Lef"T" Lef"T" Righ"T" Lef"T" if you know what I mean ?

The rhythm section seems a little thin these days, I hope it's not the rich food their eating these days, but the girls seem to still have the bod', unlike some of our year that seem to be losing the battle and the war.

General Meeting 2006.03.16
The more you get to know this class, the more you learn that there is definitely some deficit in the hearing department for the majority of the members of the class.
Here I am with the kids in the lounge while the girls are having their meeting outside, unfortunately it's like being in a night-club, no one has any idea what the television is saying because the noise from the girls is soooo loud.

Looks like something special's about to happen cause that sure looks like a little tunu under that foila.

Trying this out, to see if you're interested. We recorded our meeting in the newish Petani
Meeting2006-03-09
And for those of Class of 1990 it's fun to review the jokes (good and bad) that we made.
Meeting Notes
* Fakamalo 'a Mele * Lotu * Polokalama 'o e Katoanga * Teunga * Lukuluku ki he Shovel
About the file
The file is not an MP3 (because that turned into a 20MB file), we are using a format called Ogg Vorbis, which for our meeting is only 4MB, a much smaller download for you.
If you can't play the file in Windows Media Player, download the file at this link, Ogg Directshow Filters.

Petani - Returning to the rightful owner
Today was the final day for cleaning up, touching up, and getting that key back to the Principal. Petani was officially handed back to the school and weary bodies are recovering tonight from the mad rush work of the past month as well as the crazy runs of the past week to make sure everything was better than good enough.
We had not hoped for an official opening of the work, and had always planned on just handing the keys to the Principal to do with the work as she so chooses.

Through an extremely fortunate twist of fate, your Class of 1990 were honoured to have the Chair of the Queen Salote Ex-Student's Working Committee, Princess Nanasipau'u Tuku'aho, officially recieve the key to re-open Petani for use by teh school.

Chocolate's up ...

As New Zealand as ...
We had a meeting this afternoon after work to review the work that had been done, and to thank everyone for participating as well as highlight a few more items that need to be polished up before we can return the keys to the rightful owners.
As forewarned elsewhere, we opened the packages from New Zealand and were pleasantly surprised by the quantity of the materials for the bathroom and bedroom sent from our sisters in New Zealand.
We were all in a good mood, except we heard that the class of 2003 is copying our 'uniform' for the ex-student events so that was a little 'disappointing?' Someone needs to teach Kids these days about some level of originality (as if our uniform is designer chic, ha ha ha) But you'll all see it in due time. If we can get Sesilina into her's we'll put a photo up, before its time.
