Seems I've forgotten to mention. We've moved into town.
We've moved our
Internet Cafe office into the
Tungi Arcade so we're in the middle of town, and or the tourists they have that map we've just released on
how to get here.
NEWS ITEM #1:
Another GREAT EVENT for us, after only 2 months of waiting, is that our phone lines have finally come (today as we speak.) Now my wife can call and ask where I've been (oh well, progress must go on.)
NEWS ITEM #2:
The performance of our
TCC leased line (aka DSL) deteriorated to the point where a 52K modem gave us better responsiveness. Co-inciding with our move, and TCC just not gettnig around to moving our lines we have now effectively switched to a
Tonfon Wireless broad-band connection.
NEWS ITEM #3:
We were fortunate during December 2002 to be part of Tonfon's test base, which gave us great bandwidth and to gets their system's responsiveness. We and customers are much happier with our new Tonfon connection than they were with our previous TCC connection.
We hope to be increasing our bandwidth in April from the current 64K to 128K. Of course, the pricing we are getting is much more affordable (for the bandwidth) than we were getting with TCC (although we were promised competitive rates.)
