Laka Falealea 2006
So June 1st was the official opening of Parliament Session for 2006 and as per regular, the kids were all out and so were the handsome, beautiful tutors.

We had to wait for the last platoon to see our dear Mrs Tamalisi Koloti Latapu, but she was all smiles as is usual for our girls.I tried real hard to see if I could spot Mrs Seini Foliaki I'm waiting to have a baby Manu, but unfortunately the may have wheel-chaired her away before I got on the scene.

Of course we cannot forget our beautiful girls of Queen Salote College and their marching orders. This year seems to be a departure from the long route of yesteryear, and O4 here seems to remember some different things from what's on today's menu.
The girls found the fastest way home and ran for it. No more routing through downtown to scamper back home past ako-nofoma'u. We though the band had more songs to play then last years, and at least they have a band to play. We had to do with the smiling and the Lef"T" Lef"T" Lef"T" Righ"T" Lef"T" if you know what I mean ?

The rhythm section seems a little thin these days, I hope it's not the rich food their eating these days, but the girls seem to still have the bod', unlike some of our year that seem to be losing the battle and the war.

Thank you for your donations half-a-million pa'anga
What generosity !!! Congrats gals.
The news broadcasts for the past couple of days mentioned that the Queen Salote College festivities recorded in our Photo Gallery collected over 1/2 a million pa'anga. Over TOP$300,000 was collected by for the ex-students' association and a new departure was the especial concern from students, alumni and friends to provide needed funding for the current school needs. According to the principal, over TOP$200,000 was collected for the school's recurring needs.

What are we looking like today
'Amelia Fihaki (nee Pele) started a discussion over email soliciting class members to send through photos of where we are today, and any old ones that might be laying around.
Of course we had to have her smiley face, so we've updated Mia's 'profile' to include her new smiley photo here in Tonga early January with her son Kotoni. Browse over to Mia's page.

General Meeting 2006.03.16
The more you get to know this class, the more you learn that there is definitely some deficit in the hearing department for the majority of the members of the class.
Here I am with the kids in the lounge while the girls are having their meeting outside, unfortunately it's like being in a night-club, no one has any idea what the television is saying because the noise from the girls is soooo loud.

Looks like something special's about to happen cause that sure looks like a little tunu under that foila.

Australia go home
We tripped over to the school last night to greet and farewell the Ex-Students from Australia and we were surprised at the special treat they had offered to the boarding students.

You can barely see it, but there it is, the special treat for the night. Kale Laise.
